Bad Cholesterol is also know as LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein). It cause health problems as it accumulate in the arteries and cause blockage.

Caviar (Fish Roe)

Egg Yolk

Caviar is packed with cholesterol. It is equal to 70% of the safe cholesterol intake. 










1 egg yolk is around 210mg. It is equal to 70% of the cholesterol intake.









Liver, Pate, Foie Gras
Butter





Cholesterol is manufactured in the liver, therefore liver in the dishes is high in cholesterol. It is equal to 85-188% of the cholesterol intake.










Cholesterol instantly increase when butter is consumed. 100g of butter contain 215mg of cholesterol. It is equal to 72-81% of the safe cholesterol intake.







Shrimp, Praw



100g of shrimp/prawn contain 195mg cholesterol. It is equal to 65% of the cholesterol intake.

  1. i myself like to eat prawn a lot. I can eat up to 10 by myself. But after reading your post, i will lower the intake of prawn up to 5 because 1 prawn contain 195mg of cholesterol equals to 65% of cholesterol intake. that is scary! The same goes for butter too. 72-81% of the cholesterol intake. Thanks for the information

  2. Wow i love prawns too but does this mean that i have to stop eating prawns?

    1. You can continue eating prawn as long as you eat moderate, for example one day you can limit yourself to 5 prawn.
